The Grammar of Ornament Tile Pattern
This stencil's name comes from Owen Jones's 1956 influential book on interior design and two-dimensional motifs! It is inspired by a long British and French heritage of late Victorian design that one finds depicted in the book. This design was released in September of 2019 as part of our tile design series and really pushed us to apply design elements in ways we had not previously. There are a lot of built in intricacies, some of them breaking with rules of symmetry in a playful but pleasing manner.
You can use these stencils for painting walls, tiles and floors, fabric, wood, and other surfaces. It comes in three different materials: the Standard Brilliant Blue Stencil Plastic, The Ultra Flexible Food Grade Clear Color, and The Ultra Durable Museum or Exhibit Grade White Color Plastic. All materials are reusable though the thicker material has a much longer life span. This design can be custom-sized, for an additional fee.
