New Mexico Sun Dial Monogram

Design Story

Sundials were the best way to tell time accurately during antiquity. They were used all over the world, including the Americas. This stencil is inspired by both the sundial and the native artforms found in the New Mexico region in the U.S.. It uses simplified peacock feathers arranged in a circular pattern. The font we selected to go with the sundial is a modern looking font that creates great contrast with the ornate design surrounding the monogram letter. This contrast allows for the letter to stand out and be noticeable.
